## Package Listing
You may browse our [full-service package listing](https://pkg.adelielinux.org/current) for information about software currently available on Adélie.
If you're on an Adélie system, you may also query `apk`, our package manager, something like this:
```sh
$ apk search <package>
```
You can read more about how to use `apk` [at this webpage](https://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Alpine_Linux_package_management).

## Alternative Repositories
In the event that one of our mirrors goes offline or is otherwise unavailable to you (perhaps due to firewall restrictions), you can always refer to [our mirrors page](https://www.adelielinux.org/mirrors/) for a current listing. To use a different mirror, determine its hostname (e.g. `distfiles.adelielinux.org` or `my.fast.mirror.net`) and swap out this value in the `/etc/apk/repositories` file.
If you would like to explore packages from other distributions supporting the `apk` package manager, it is also possible to add these foreign repositories to the `/etc/apk/repositories` file, but this usage is considered advanced and beyond the scope of this document. You would need to be sure to avoid conflicts, pin/hold packages, and mitigate any other issues on your own.

## From Source
The Adélie platform gives you all the tools you need to bring your own (or build someone else's) software from source. Please follow the software author's, distributor's, or other supporting documentation for information about how to compile and install such software.
If you encounter issues that you think may be due to Adélie's use of the [musl C library](https://musl.libc.org/), you are encouraged to [submit a bug report to Adélie](https://git.adelielinux.org/groups/adelie/-/issues) and we will be more than happy to work with you to diagnose and resolve it. |
