If you would like to explore packages from other distributions supporting the
apk package manager, it is also possible to add these foreign repositories to the
/etc/apk/repositories file, but this usage is considered advanced and beyond the scope of this document. You would need to be sure to avoid conflicts, pin/hold packages, and mitigate any other issues on your own.
