    While I am a bit disappointed that this will remove smart card support from RDesktop and wpa_supplicant, the concerns about its security and QA processes are enough to convince me that this is the right decision.

    Security packages really do need to be held to a higher standard. If this project improves and someone is willing to stand up and dedicate time to maintaining it regularly, I'd accept it back. Until then it is for the best that it is removed.
