Some set of fixes and improvements

Hi! Thanks a lot for taking care of this project! I'm part of the postmarketOS team, and I'm working on improving translations. Before asking some people in our community to add more translations, I've done some small cleanup in the project, to clarify how to add translations and cleanup some files around. Let me know if you're happy with the changes!
